Toral Desai, MD

Dr. Desai completed her training in Adult Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from the University of Virginia. She is a board-certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist.

She moved to California after her training and joined the Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency. She worked in Integrated Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, Transitional Age youth, Foster care system, and Juvenile Justice System while working with Santa Cruz County. She has since been working at San Jose Behavioral Health with adults and children as an inpatient psychiatrist.

She uses a holistic approach to treat mental health issues in children as well as adults with the use of therapy and medications in a safe environment. Dr. Desai is providing telepsychiatry services and continues to provide care to inpatient and outpatient facilities.
